Lessons from designing a product from its first screen

Career / 4 min read / Draft

I've been on Klink since the very first screen. Back then there was no design system and no patterns, just a problem and a blank canvas.

In 0→1, the first screen becomes the foundation for every screen after it.

Early on, speed matters more than polish. But some decisions stay forever: naming, navigation, and the data behind the screens. I spend real time on those and move fast on the rest.

Growing that first version into V3 taught me to design for change. Patterns that can bend are worth more than screens that look perfect once.
